MOSCOW, Aug 5 (PRIME) -- U.S. phosphorous fertilizer producer Mosaic has filed suits to the U.S. Court of International Trade to increase the phosphate import duties for Russia and Morocco, Mosaic said in a statement late on Wednesday.
The duties do not reflect the Russian and Moroccan governments’ subsidies to support fertilizer production creating unfair advantage for the companies, Mosaic said.
The U.S. duties on Russian phosphorous fertilizers amount to 9.19% for Apatit, part of PhosAgro, 47.05% for Phosphorit, unit of EuroChem, and 17.2% for the rest of producers.
